Venison

Venison is a very healthy, low-fat, and protein-rich type of meat. Fresh venison is in season almost all year: in our latitudes from August to February, in the Southern Hemisphere from February to May. Venison contains many B vitamins, iron, zinc, and selenium. Zinc strengthens the immune system and helps prevent infections. Iron is involved in many processes in a dog’s body, such as oxygen transport and energy metabolism. Selenium is a trace element important for healthy, shiny fur. Its antioxidant properties also protect against harmful free radicals and support the immune system. B vitamins support a healthy metabolism, are involved in growth processes, and contribute to healthy skin and coat. Venison is therefore a valuable component of a dog’s diet.

Jerusalem Artichoke

Jerusalem artichoke is a prebiotic vegetable containing specific fibers that promote a healthy gut flora and strengthen the immune system. The tuber, also known as sunchoke or earth apple, was highly valued by indigenous peoples in pre-Columbian times for nutrition and medicinal use. It provides many vitamins and minerals, including B1, B3, vitamin C, iron, potassium, and copper. Jerusalem artichoke helps maintain healthy bones, supports digestive health, and ensures regular digestion.

Milk Thistle

Our wet dog food also contains milk thistle. Known since the 16th century for its benefits to liver and gallbladder health, the seven-millimeter fruits are used for their valuable silymarin content. Silymarin can protect, strengthen, and detoxify the liver, stimulate bile flow, and positively affect digestion. It also contains antioxidants that naturally protect the immune system from harmful free radicals. Like other ingredients, silymarin is not a miracle substance that works instantly.
